Tim Howard Going Camping In Florida.
Pretty much anything they want to do!
Tim Howard will spend a week at soccer camp, July 1-6, in Lakewood Ranch, FL.
He is spending the entire five days in camp, which offers a unique opportunity for young goalkeepers to be trained by the starting goalkeeper for the United States Men’s National team.
The camp will be held at the Premier Sports Campus in Lakewood Ranch, FL, and is hosted by the Chargers Soccer Club.
Howard’s addition to the camp staff comes through a long relationship with Tim Mulqueen, Permier Sports Campus Director, who has been the goalkeeper coach of U.S. youth national teams, as well as two clubs in Major League Soccer.
Mulqueen and Howard also collaborated on the Complete Soccer Goalkeeper book.
“Of all the great players with whom I have had the privilege to work, there has been none better than current U.S. International and Everton FC goalkeeper, Tim Howard,” said Mulqueen.
“Together, Tim and I have established The Complete Soccer Goalkeeper Academy, to be hosted by the Chargers Soccer Club.
“This camp is designed to improve goalkeepers in every facet of the game. Our goal is to expose you to the highest level of training so that you can maximize your performance. It is the most current, complete and comprehensive training program offered.”
Everton just completed its 20th season in the English Premier League. It was also the club’s 113th season in league football.
Howard, who grew up in North Brunswick, NJ, joined Everton during the 2006-07 season on loan from Manchester United, and has been fulltime with The Toffees since 2007. He has 224 total appearances with Everton.
This past season he scored his first EPL goal in January against the Bolton Wandereres, striking a shot the length of the field into the opposing goal. His goal was only the fourth all-time by an EPL goalkeeper
He has 75 international caps with the United States MNT.
In addition to Howard and Mulqueen, the camp staff includes Co-Director Chargers SC and Director of Operations Jim DiNobile, Tampa Bay Rowdies goalkeeper Jeff Attinella and Providence College assistant coach Tim Fauth.
The camp is for ages 13-21 featuring levels from beginner to collegiate sessions.
