MLS Cup 2012, the 17th edition of Major League Soccer’s championship match, will be played on December 1, 2012, at The Home Depot Center in Carson, CA.
The Los Angeles Galaxy earned the right to host the final as the highest seeded team to make the championship game. The Galaxy, the defending league champion, will play the Houston Dynamo in a rematch between the 2011 finalists.
For the first time in MLS Cup history, the championship will not be held at a predetermined neutral site. Instead, the match venue will be the home stadium of the finalist with the best regular season record.
