Spring Hill moved to 8-5, 3-3 in the SSAC, while Belhaven fell to 12-1-0…..Auburn sophomore forward Tatiana Coleman (Boca Raton, Fla.) was named the Southeastern Conference Offensive Player of the Week following her two-goal, one assist weekend against South Carolina and Ole Miss. Coleman began her weekend with the second assist on Natalie Donaldson’s game-tying goal in the 59th minute of the 4-2 win over South Carolina. Trailing 2-0 after 20 minutes, Auburn rallied to score four unanswered goals, with Coleman capping the scoring in the 76th minute with her third goal of the season….The Samford University soccer team suffered its first Southern Conference loss in nearly two years when the Bulldogs dropped a tough 1-0 decision at home against the UNCG Spartans. With the loss, Samford (9-6-2, 6-1-2 SoCon) suffered its first defeat to a conference opponent since a similar 1-0 defeat against UNCG (10-6-1, 7-1-1 SoCon) in the championship match of the SoCon Tournament on Nov. 7, 2010. The Bulldogs’ school-record undefeated streak in conference play was snapped at 22 straight matches…..University of South Alabama junior midfielder Clarissa Hernandez (Pensecola, FL) scored a goal and added two assists to help USA earn an 4-0 result over Louisiana-Monroe, with four different Jaguars scoring goals. The USA defense, behind goalkeeper Melissa Drish’s (Conyers, Ga.) five saves, recorded its eighth shutout of the season and fourth in Sun Belt Conference play. The four goals was the largest margin of victory by the Jaguars this season.
