Atlantic Sun Honors.
East Tennessee State junior forward Ramey Kerns (Kings Mountain, NC) and Florida Gulf Coast freshman goalkeeper Brittany Brown (Rochester, NY) claimed the Atlantic Sun Women’s Soccer Player of the Week honors.
Kerns becomes the first women’s soccer student-athlete since Kennesaw State’s Caitlin Dingle in 2007 to win three A-Sun Player of the Week awards in the same season, while Brown was awarded her second Defensive Player honor of her freshman season.
Kerns leads the A-Sun with 12 goals and 27 points, the most in the A-Sun since 2007. She had two goals in a win over Stetson and a PK in a 2-1 loss to FGCU.
Brown posted eight saves in earning wins over USC Upstate and ETSU. The win over Upstate was Florida Gulf Coast’s third shutout of the season.
