Battery Announces
Open Player Trials.
The Charleston Battery will have two open player trials for the 2013 season. The first session is scheduled for Nov. 30-Dec. 1, 2012, and the second trial will be held Jan. 11-12, 2013. Those trials are open to all via the application process.
The Battery will also host a preseason trial camp from Feb. 8-10, which is open only by invitation.
Charleston, winners of the 2012 USL PRO league championship, has consistently used its trials as source for identifying new players and in recent years has signed numerous players through the process, including Taylor Mueller, Mark Witse, JC Mack, Sean Flatley, O’Brian Woodbine and Zach Prince.
Players interest in applying for the trials should complete the online registration available at www.charlestonbattery.com. The cost for each trial camp is $150.
