Former Paladin Named US Soccer Male Athlete Of Year

Clint Dempsey has kicked a lot of soccer balls since he kicked one for the Furman Paladins. The Nacogdoches, Texas, native left Furman after his junior season to turn professional.

That journey has taken him on a tour of the United States with the New England Revolution, all over England with Fulham FC and now with the Tottenham Hotspurs. And it has taken him all over the world with the United States Men’s National Team.
