Maryland Teams Highly Ranked In Fall NSCAA Prep Polls.

Olney’s Our Lady of Good Counsel was ranked #1 in the national girls NSCAA high school poll for the fall season of 2012. At the time of the rankings, Good Counsel was off to a 4-0-0 start.
Farragut from Knoxville, TN, off to an 11-0-0-0 start, was ranked #7. Franklin HS in Germantown, TN, was the only other Tennessee girls prep team ranked, coming in at #24. Farragut and Franklin are ranked first and second, respectively, in the Tennessee Class AAA state rankings.
Notre Dame Academy from Park Hills, KY, was ranked #17 with Morgantown HS from Morgantown, W. Va., ranked #21.
DeMatha Catholic in Hyattsville, MD, was the other Maryland team in the recent national polls. DeMatha was ranked #5 in the boys poll, dropping from #2 after drawing 1-1 against Gonzaga.
St. Xavier from Louisville, KY, was ranked #17 in the boys poll. Unbeaten Wesleyan Christian Academy from High Point, NC, was the #20 ranked boys team at 15-0-0.
Charleston Catholic (Charleston, W. Va.), also undefeated at 11-0-0, was the #25 ranked team in the boys poll.
