Playing Soccer Is
All About Angles.

Good soccer players have a good working knowledge of geometry. There is a time when good coaches become geometry teachers.
That’s because the game of soccer is played at angles. Watch two top professional teams play and one soon becomes aware that players move at angles to one another, and position themselves in triangles.
Developing youth players often play in straight lines. They often play “direct” because the coach has a very fast player, or two, up front who can run past defenders and score with speed and athletic ability.
