Rowdies Reach NASL Championship Series

The pairing of the Tampa Bay Rowdies and the Minnesota Stars in the NASL championship series goes against the results of the regular season. The Rowdies finished second in the final standings, only two points out of first place, and the Stars were #6, the last team to make postseason play.

But here they are. Both advanced to the home-and-home championship series by beating opponents on aggregate scores.
