Silverbacks Fans Vote To Keep Name.
The Atlanta Silverbacks fans have spoken and the club will retain the Silverbacks name for the North American Soccer League franchise. The fans voted in the club’s recent “Decision 2012” campaign. Options were Atlanta Silverbacks, Atlanta Chiefs, Atlanta FC or a write-in suggestion.
The Silverbacks name was retained after the two-month contest. Silverbacks fans now have an opportunity to propose a new logo on the team’s Facebook page (facebook.com/atlantasilverbacks).
The contest will continue through the first week of December.
