Southern Conference.
Davidson freshman forward Valeriy Sviderskiy (Richmond, VA) has been named Southern Conference men’s Player of the Week after scoring three of Davidson’s six goals during a pair of golden-goal wins. He came off the bench to score a pair of goals less than three minutes apart early in the second half of the Wildcats’ 4-3 overtime win over USC Upstate.
Sviderskiy again provided a spark off the bench in a 2-1 double overtime win over East Tennessee State, scoring in the 80th minute to tie the game and force extra time. Davidson would go on to win, ending the Bucs’ four-game winning streak.
Other SoCon POW winners this fall have been UNCG’s Maximilian Schulz, Furman’s Coleton Henning and Elon’s Chris Thomas.
