The U.S. also beat two club teams, the Borussia Dortmund U18s (1-0) and Feyenoord Rotterdam’s U19s (2-0), and lost 3-1 to Dutch Club Brugge’s U19s.
The U.S. roster included four players currently training abroad. Julian Green, born in Tampa, FL, plays for Bayern Munich’s academy in Germany, and has made several appearances with German Youth National Teams. Piakai Henkel plays for the Paris Saint-German academy, while Romain Gall, originally from Herndon, VA, plays for the FC Lonent Academy in France. Kristian Scott plays in the Stoke City academy in England.
Also named to the team were defender Suliaman Dainkeh (DC United Academy/Reston, VA) and midfielder Jacori Hayes (Baltimore Bays/Bowie, MD).
