Tampa freshman Cici Gonzalez (Lutz, Fla.) and Eckerd sophomore goalkeeper Morgan Crescent (Land O’Lakes, Fla.) have been selected Sunshine State Conference Women’s Soccer Players of the Week.
Gonzalez led the Spartans to a pair of wins, including a conference road victory at Saint Leo. In that match, Gonzalez scored the game-winning goal with just 30 seconds remaining in regulation. She also found the net in a 3-1 win over Barry.
Crescent made a season-high 13 saves versus #17 Florida Tech. She replicated the effort against Nova Southeastern, tying her season-high to pick up her second shutout of the week.
