He was the 2013 A-Sun POY, and is coming off a record junior season where he set program single-season records for goals (11) assists (8) and points (30). Teammate Blaike Woodruff was named preseason Defensive POY….The Belmont women’s soccer team will officially open its 2013 campaign on the road this weekend at the Gopher Tournament, hosted by the University of Minnesota. Coach Heather Henson’s Bruins split exhibition action in their preseason games. BU shut out in-state rival Middle Tennessee State, 1-0, before falling by the same score to visiting Samford two days later…..Coming off the most successful campaign in University of Tennessee Martin soccer history, the Skyhawks are primed to contend for their second consecutive championship and third NCAA Tournament appearance. The Ohio Valley Conference coaches and sports information directors have tabbed the Skyhawks as the preseason favorites for the second straight year, as UT Martin garnered 18 of 22 first-places votes in the poll.
