U.S. Soccer Announces New
Women’s Pro League For ’13.
The announcement came the day before Thanksgiving, late in the afternoon and not in time for significant media exposure.
It was just as well, for the announcement that a new women’s professional soccer league was being launched had little in the way of news other than it was happening in the spring of 2013.
Eight teams, Boston, Chicago, Kansas City, Western New York, New Jersey, Portland, Seattle and Washington, D.C. will make up the league. No news about owners/investors, team names, player allocations, etc. Details to come later.
