U17 World Cup Champs.

France and North Korea tied 1-1 in the championship match, which was settled by a 7-6 penalty kick shootout. The winning Europeans won four, drew two and lost none of their six tournament matches. The adidas Golden Ball for the best player went to France’s outstanding defender Griedge Mbock Bathy.
In the third-place consolations, Ghana made history by defeating the reigning U-17 European champions Germany. Ghana won 1-0 and played almost 60 minutes with 10 players.
