Georgetown’s Steve Neumann (New Hope, PA) scored both game-winners in a 2-0 week for Georgetown en route to earning BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week. Neumann had the game-winner in a 2-0 non-conference win over Lehigh and had the winning goal and an assist in handing Marquette its first loss, 2-0, of the season…..James Madison and Delaware battled through two overtimes to a 1-1 men’s soccer draw in Colonial Athletic Association play. Freshman Tom Fouhy (England) scored on a header off a corner kick by redshirt senior Christian McLaughlin (Herndon, Va.) for JMU….Hampden-Sydney earned a must-win three points as the Tigers defeated Emory & Henry 1-0 on the road. The win puts H-SC in a three-way tie with Bridgewater and Eastern Mennonite for seventh in the ODAC, and the top eight teams advance to the ODAC Men’s Tournament. James Lawrence (Midlothian, VA/Midlothian) scored from the left side of the 18-yard box at three minutes before halftime to give the Tigers the game-winning goal…..James Madison rallied from a 1-0 deficit with two second-half goals to down George Mason 2-1 in Colonial Athletic Association. Senior Paul Wyatt (Modbury, England/Ivybridge) tied the game with a goal in the 65th minute, and sophomore Josh Grant (Plymouth, England/Torpoint College) scored the game-winner in the 75th minute. Mason scored just 34 seconds into the second half to take a 1-0 lead. Wesley Sever netted the goal for the Patriots……Senior co-captain Chris Harmon and junior Tim Hopkinson each scored a goal to lead Old Dominion to a 2-1 Colonial Athletic Association win over Towson. The Monarchs moved to 9-2-2 overall and 3-2-2 in the CAA. Hopkinson scored his team best 10th goal in the first half on an assist from junior defender Ryan Oakes (Virginia Beach, VA.) for a 1-0 first half lead. It was Oakes first assist of the year. In the second half, ODU added another just 10 minutes in as Harmon scored off a pass from freshman Ryan Condatta (Keller, TX.) for a 2-0 lead.
