WNT Coach Correction

In the September 15 issue’s “In My Opinion” commentary by Southern Soccer Scene Editor/Publisher Ray Alley, it was reported that current UNC women’s head coach Anson Dorrance was the U.S. Women’s National Team Coach for the 1991 FIFA Women’s World Championship and 1995 FIFA Women’s World Cup. Dorrance actually resigned as the women’s national coach in 1994 and was replaced by Tony DiCicco, who was the team coach for the 1995 World Cup and in 1999 when the U.S. won the championship in the dramatic penalty kick shootout with China in Pasadena, Calif.
