U.S. Under-20 WNT striker Lindsey Horan (Golden, CO) closed out the fall portion of her first professional season in France wth a goal in Paris St. Germain’s 4-1 win over St. Etienne. It was her eighth goal in 10 games as a pro. Horan, who had signed to attend and play soccer at UNC Chapel Hill, chose instead to turn professional right out of high school.
Going into the winter break for the French, German and Dutch women’s leagues, Paris St. Germain has nine wins, two draws and only one loss in 12 matches and is second in the Division I Feminie, seven points behind defending champion Lyon, which is perfect wih 12 wins in 12 games.
U.S. senior WNT midfielder Megan Rapino is reported to be ready to sign with Lyon for the second half of the European season. Lyon has been so dominant over 12 games that they have outscored opponents 77-3.
