N.C. Soccer HOF
The 2014 North Carolina Soccer Hall of Fame induction dinner will be held Saturday, January 25, 2014 at the North Raleigh Hilton in Raleigh, NC.
The induction dinner, which is held during the annual Southern Soccer Show, has traditionally been held in Greensboro, N.C. N.C. Soccer has moved its youth and adult state soccer association AGMs to Raleigh for 2014.
Scheduled for induction are former Wake Forest and Columbus Crew goalkeeper William Hesmer and high school coaches George Kennedy and Brien Braswell. Also honored at the HOF dinner will be the UNC Tar Heels women’s soccer program.
The public is invited to attend the dinner. Ticket information will be available on the NCSHOF website next month at www.ncsoccerhall offame.com.
USYS Workshop
Registration is underway for the 2014 US Youth Soccer Workshop, held in conjunction with the NSCAA convention, Jan. 15-19 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia.
The US Youth Soccer Awards Gala will again be held during the workshop on Friday night, Jan. 17.

Georgia AGM
The Georgia Soccer Annual General Meeting is set for Saturday, February 1, 2014 at the Renaissance Waverly Hotel in Atlanta. All Georgia Soccer affiliate members are required to have a representative in attendance at each business meeting.

Virginia/DC HOF
Nine outstanding individuals who have contributed much to soccer in Virginia and the District of Columbia will be inducted into the Virginia/DC Soccer Hall of Fame, in Richmond, Va., during the annual VYSA Soccer Convention (Jan. 31-Feb. 1, 2014 ).
Three are being inducted in the player catagory: Wade Barrett, Colleen O’Day and Staci Wilson. Julie Caramanica, Denise Edwards, Don Heldman and Robert Kunle are being inducted for Meritorious Service, and Turk Emekli is in the Veteran classification.
SAY Holds AGM
SAY Soccer will hold its 2014 Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Philadelphia during the NSCAA Convention, January 15-19. See www.saysoccer.org/agm for online details.
CONCACAF Qualifying
The U.S. Under-20 Women’s National Team will begin the final round of qualifying for the 2014 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup with the CONCACAF U-20 Women’s Championships, Jan. 11-19 in the Cayman Islands.
The U.S. is in a group with Costa Rica, Jamaica and Guatemala. Canada will host the World Cup next August.
No notification has been given regarding any televison coverage of the CONCACAF tournament.
