Eckerd Player Killed By Drunk Driver

Former Melbourne HS soccer star Rachel Price (see photo Florida Notes) a freshman member of Eckerd College’s women’s soccer team, was killed, along with a friend, in a fiery crash when struck by a truck driven by a drunk driver.
The accident occured on U.S. Highway 192 on February 28 as Price, who was killed on impact, was driving from a visit home to her college.
Randall Kerley, whose blood alchol level was measured at .142, was charged with two counts of DUI manslaugher, and released on bond within 24 hours of his arrest.
Price, the 2011 Florida Today Girls Soccer Player of the Year, was a former member of the United States Under-18 Women’s National Team.
