U20 WNT Winless In Spain

March 15, 2013 by Ray Alley

The U.S. Under-20 Women’s National Team came home from the 12-Nations Tournament in La Manga, Spain, without a victory. The U.S. squad played Sweden to a 0-0 draw, their second tie of the tournament. Earlier, they had drawn 1-1 with Norway and lost 3-0 to Germany.
The U.S. roster featured eight players who played in last year’s U-20 World Cup in Azerbaijan, including Georgia native Jane Campbell, who recently spent time in full National Team Training camp. Campbell, the USA’s starting goalkeeper in Azerbaijan, went the distance in goal against Sweden and picked up the shutout.
