The W-League Carolina Elite Cobras have signed former U.S. Women’s National Team player India Trotter for the 2013 season.
Trotter, a NCAA Division I All-America at Florida State University, was a member of the senior national pool from 2006-09, an was an alternate for both the 2007 World Cup and the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

Her attitude and experience will add many positive assets to this young team.
“She is a great player who has now that the chance to coach at a high level and I think that will add a new dimension to her game.”
A native of Plantation, FL, Trotter had an oustanding career at FSU from 2003-06. She finished her collegiate career with 24 goals, 18 assists and 66 points, and as a senior she was a semifinalist for the M.A.C. Hermann Trophy, symbolic of the nations top soccer player.
She was named All-ACC three times. At the international level, Trotter played for the U.S. U-19 team, and had an appearance in one international game for the senior U.S. Women’s National Team.
After college she was drafted by the St. Louis Athletica in the WPS, and played for Sky Blue FC in New Jersey and the Atlanta Beat. She also played for Dalsjofors in the Elite Division in Sweden.
Her first year of professional soccer came right out of college when she played seven games in Germany with 1.FFC Frankfurt.
Carolina also recently added LSU’s Alex Ramsey, and Furman teammates Sarah Jacobs and Stephanie DeVita.
The Cobras will open at home on May 12 against the Atlanta Silverbacks at MESA Soccer Complex.
