Smith pointed to the success of the Tennessee ODP system that has produced players selected to Region III player pools.
Recently Scott Lich (JohnCity/FC Alliance and Jacob Suppiah (Cordova/Collierville) both traveled with Region III to Guadalajara, Mexico in March with the ’99 age group.
Jackson Boonstra (Nashville/TSC), Daniel Camuti (German-town/MidSouth) and Noah Mudd (Shelbyville/TSC) traveled to Costa Rica with the Region III 95s.
Seth Douthat (Fall Branch/FC Alliance) went to Costa Rica in the 96s and Michael Switch (Memphis/Collierville) to Guadalajara with the R-III 97s.
Tanner Dieterich (Nashville/TSC) and Jack Skahan (Memphis/Sunrise SC) also went with the Region III 98s to Mexico.
On the girls side Meredith Siessman (Nashville/TSC) traveled with Region III to Costa Rica with the 98s.
