USA Women Host Canada
The U.S. Women’s National Team will be back in action on Jan. 31, 2014 in Frisco, Texas against CONCACAF rival Canada.The game will be televised on FOX Sports 1.
The game will showcase two of the top goalscorers in the world in USA’s Abby Wambach and Canada’s Christine Sinclaire. Wambach is sitting on 163 career goals, while Sinclair is close behind with 147 international goals.
Greg Ryan At Michigan
Former U.S. Women’s National Team coach Greg Ryan had his best season as head coach of the University of Michigan Wolverines. Michigan finished the 2013 season with a 18-4-1 record, losing 2-1 to the top-ranked Virginia Cavaliers in the quarterfinals of the NCAA Division I College Cup. Going into the quarterfinal match, the Wolverines had won 11 of their last 12 games.
Ryan was the U.S. National Team coach from 2005-2007. During that span of time the U.S. only lost one game, a 4-0 shutout to Brazil, the worst loss in the program history.

The Washington Spirit signed Jodie Taylor after acquiring her discovery rights in a trade with Seattle Reign FC. Taylor was recently called up for a senior English National Team camp along with Boston Breakers’ Lianne Sanderson. FC Kansas City has signed NWSL Rookie of the Year Erika Tymrak to a new contract.
