2013 US Youth Soccer Presidents Cup

US Youth Soccer and Florida Youth Soccer will welcome teams from the four regions of the United States to Auburndale, FL, July 10-14, for the US Youth Soccer National Presidents Cup.

The US Youth Soccer Presidents Cup is designed for teams seeking additional challenges to play for a national title against teams of similar abilities.

Games will be played at Lake Myrtle Sports Park in Auburndale. The facility includes 10 soccer fields and a large stadium-style field next to the Florida Youth Soccer Association office.

Florida, which is a part of Region III, qualified three teams for the Presidents Cup finals.

The Westside Eagles, from Jacksonville, won the regional Under-14 boys title to advance.

Two girls teams, the U-13 Bay United Sharks from Panama City, and the U-14 Cape Coral Cyclones from Cape Coral, also will play in the national tournament.

North Carolina also qualified three teams for the Presidents Cup national tournament. The U-16 Triad Elite SC from Winston-Salem and the U-17 AC Sandhills Elite from Southern Pines, will compete in the boys division.

Lake Norman SC Eclipse from Mooresville, won the Under-15 girls title at the Region III tournament in Decatur, Alabama, to secure spots in the final.

Texas teams captured four Region III championships, with South Texas taking the U-13 boys (International from El Paso), U-16 girls (Albion Hurricanes from Houston) and U-17 girls (Lady Lions Red from Schertz).

The U-15 boys championship was won by Guanmeru SC from Dallas and the North Texas state association.
