Ground was broken on June 4 for the new One Loudoun development in Northern Virginia for a permanent home for the Virginia Calvary FC and Loudoun Hounds soccer and baseball teams.
The naming rights for the 5,500-seat facility have been secured by Ric Edelman’s financial management company, and the stadium will be known as Edelman Financial Field.
The Calvary will play in the North American Soccer League, and will take the field for the first time in the 2014 seson.
The new facility is located at the corner of Route 7 and Loudoun County Parkway. Loudoun County is one of the fastest growing areas in Northern Virginia.
