June 23, 2013 by Ray Alley

The victory, on June 2, gave the USA a sweep of the Sweden U-20 and U-23 Women’s National Teams after defeating the U-20s 3-1 on May 31.
Horan, the only professional player on the roster, recently completed a 16-goal campaign with Paris Saint-Germain in France. She scored her second goal of the trip by being in the right place at the right time and heading in a rebound that came off the goalkeeper’s hands.
Virginia-bound goalkeeper Morgan Stearns earned the shutout for the USA, going 90 minutes and making five saves.
The USA is in preparations for qualifying for the 2014 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup to be held in Canada
