Cobras Advance

The W-League Carolina Elite Cobras are in the final four of the league playoffs after upsetting the second-seeded Dayton Dutch Lions on the road[show_disconnected][show_to accesslevel=’Subscriber’].
The Cobras took a 2-0 into halftime on goals from Tiffini Turpin and India Trotter. Dayton pulled a goal back in the second half, but could not equalize.
The Cobras reached the Southeastern Conference championship game with a 2-1 win over the Charlotte Lady Eagles.
The Cobras will play the #1 seeded Lavale Comets from Canada, winners over the defending W-League champion Ottawa Fury in the Central Conference final.
The other two semifinalists are the third-seeded Washington Spirit Reserve and the Pali Blues from California. Wake Forest All-America Katie Stengel plays for the Pali Blues.
