Georgia Dome Host Record Crowd

Atlanta’s Georgia Dome hosted a CONCACAF Gold Cup quarterfinal doubleheader before a crowd of 54,229, which was a new attendance record in the facility for soccer.
Mexico advanced to the semifinals with a 1-0 victory over Trinidad & Tobago with a late second-half goal.
Panama fell behind 1-0 to Cuba, but earned a spot in the semifinals with six unanswered goals and a 6-1 victory.
A temporary grass field was installed for the games.
