August 7, 2013 by Ray Alley

AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn soccer redshirt freshman Alyse Scott helped lead the NASA `12 Elite II club team to the 2013 U.S. Youth Soccer National championship for the Under-19 Girls division over the weekend.

“Winning nationals in our last year is an accumulation of all the hard work we have done in the 10-plus years my club team has been together,” Scott said.

A goalkeeper, Scott’s team posted a 2-1 record to advance out of the prelim’s and into the championship match. NASA `12 Elite II defeated So Cal Blues 2-1 in overtime to win the national championship.
