JONESBORO, Ark. – The Arkansas State women’s soccer team began its preparation for the 2013 season, the 14th in school history, as head coach Tafadzwa Ziyenge welcomed 22 student-athletes to campus.
The team went through an orientation session, team meetings, met athletic staff and took team photos.
Among the 22 who reported were seven newcomers who will try to build upon the success the squad had in 2012. The Red Wolves set school records in wins (11), goals (41) and points (113). A-State also returns 70 percent of its scoring from last season and had the longest winning streak in school history at six matches.
