Florida Gulf Coast’s Ally Kasun has been named the Atlantic Sun Conference preseason Player of the Year[show_disconnected][show_to accesslevel=’Subscriber’]. Kasun, a sophomore, scored seven goals as a freshman,including the game-winner in overtime in the A-Sun championship against Mercer.
FGCU came in at #1 in the preseason team poll of predicted finishes in the A-Sun 2013 regular season. Jacksonville was the #2 pick by league coaches, with East Tennessee State and Mercer tying for third in the poll.
In fifth place was Kennasaw State, followed by North Florida, Lipscomb, Northern Kentucky, Stetson and USC Upstate.
