Cleveland State University’s men’s soccer team has big shoes to fill, as the previous team was the 2012 Horizon League Champions and appeared in the NCAA tournament. Putting even more pressure on the Vikings, the team was named No. 1 in the preseason polls.
Receiving a landslide of 41 points after their 11-6-3 season and three first-place votes in the preseason polls, Milwaukee and Oakland tied for No. 2 with 34 points.
The Vikings are the 2013 favorites, returning seven starters from last season — five of which received league honors in 2012.
