Darton Gets Win When Opponent Was Short On Players

Darton State College is ranked #5 nationally among NJCAA (junior college) women’s teams with a 9-1 overall record[show_disconnected][show_to accesslevel=’Subscriber’].
Head coach Ken Veilands recently reached a coaching milestone in a very unusual route. His 224th coaching victory came on a forfeit!
Andrews College only brought seven players to play Darton, and when one went down with injury, Andrews chose to forfeit for lack of enough players on the field.
That win tied Veilands with former Young Harris coach Kathy Brown for most women’s soccer wins in Region 17.
