Florida, Tennessee In NAIA Poll

While most colleges and universities in the Carolinas and Georgia have moved to the NCAA, the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics still has a number of outstanding teams in Florida and Tennessee, as well as a competitive presence in Georgia[show_disconnected][show_to accesslevel=’Subscriber’].
Between the men’s and women’s NAIA national soccer polls, Florida is represented by three teams, and four Tennessee teams earned spots in the national rankings.
Florida’s Embry-Riddle University (5-1-1) is tied for second in the NAIA national men’s poll. Northwood, at 4-1-1, is fifth in the women’s national rankings. Unbeaten St. Thomas at 5-0-1 is ranked #17
Martin Methodist is the top ranked Tennessee team at #10 in the NAIA women’s national poll. They are 6-1-0 overall and 2-0-0 in the Southern States Athletic Conference after a 5-0 romp over an old rival, Bethel College. Once-beaten Cumberland is #15 in the women’s NAIA rankings
Bethel, at #19 is the top Tennessee men’s team in the NAIA poll. Bryan, at 5-1-0, is tied for #25 with Baker University of Kansas.
Kentucky’s Lindsey Wilson College is ranked #1 in the women’s national poll and #2 in the men’s NAIA rankings.
Southern Poly, ranked #12 in the men’s poll, is the top Georgia team in either poll. Brenau is ranked #20 in the women’s NAIA poll and the Savannah College of Arts & Design is #23 in that same poll.
Mississippi is represented by #4 Belhaven in the men’s poll and by William Carey in the women’s at #12.
