William & Mary, ranked #4 in the South Atlantic Region, has beaten is second consecutive nationally ranked opponent, edging #24 Elon 1-0 in doule overtime on Roshan Patel’s header off a Chris Albiston assist in the 108th minute of play. Patel (McLean, Va.) was named Colonial Athletic Association Player of the Week.

W&M’s Mac Phillips (Rocky Mount, Va.) was named CAA Co-Rookie of the Week after recording his league-leading third shutout with the win over Elon. He lowered his goals against average to a CAA best 0.73 for the season. Drexel’s Tyler Afflerbach shared the ROW award with Patel.
Delaware imroved to 6-1 overall and extended its winning streak to three with wins over Temple and St. Peter’s.
No one in the league has played a CAA game through the fourth weeks.
James Madison settled for a 1-1 double-overtime draw with Stetson. Goalkeeper Kyle Morton preserved the draw for the Dukes as he stopped a penalty kick attempt by the Hatters.
UNC Wilmington fell back to .500 after a 2-0 road loss to UNC Greensboro. Both goals came in the final 10 minutes.
A road trip to the West Coast proved a difficult test for the College of Charleston, as the Cougars went 0-2 with losses to #4 ranked California (3-1) and to Stanford (2-0). Over the past five years, the Cougars have faced 23 teams that were eight ranked or receiving votes in the NSCAA Top 25, including five in the Top Five.
