WINTER PARK, Fla. – Rollins’ Emma Jones and Mary Spring have been selected Sunshine State Conference Women’s Soccer Players of the Week presented by VALIC.
Jones was named the Offensive Player of the Week after scoring the game-winning goal in the 21st minute on the road at Lynn, before setting up her teammate just 14 seconds later for a second goal in a 2-0 victory. Then against No. 4 Tampa on Friday, the junior scored the game’s first goal in the 24th minute. Her fifth goal of the season turned out to be the game-winner in a 2-0 victory, giving the Spartans their first loss of the season.
