Strawser nets first career goal to lift Texas Soccer over Kansas, 1-0

October 12, 2013 by Ray Alley

LAWRENCE, Kan. – Sophomore Aaron Strawser found the back of the Kansas goal in the 86th minute to power Texas Soccer to a 1-0 victory at Jayhawk Soccer Complex.

Strawser dribbled the ball into space on the right side in Texas’ attacking third and sent a shot toward the goal that sailed over the hands of KU keeper Kaitlyn Stroud and into the back-left corner of the net. After a hard-fought, physical first 85 minutes of play, that would be all Texas would need to improve to 9-4-1 on the season and 3-1-0 in Big 12 play.
