October 23, 2013 by Ray Alley

UNC's Kealia Ohai (#7) In 1-0 ACC Win Over Syracuse In Chapel Hill.

The Lynchburg College Hornets are the Queen Bee of Old Dominion Athletic Association women’s soccer They solidified that with a 1-0 victory over rival Washington & Lee. It was W&L’s first conference loss and second overall.
That left Lynchburg unbeaten in conference play and their 17-1 record should move them up in the NCAA Division III national poll. They were ranked #13 when they were 15-1.
The Hornets’ only loss was a 3-1 setback against 2012 national runnerup Emory in the sixth match of the season.
Offensively, Lynchburg has been explosive. Incredibly, 22 different players have scored goals this season.[show_to] Sophomore Morgan Singer (Yorktown, VA) and junior Dessi Dupuy (Lynchburg, VA) each have 15 goals, while Se- nior Angela Bosco (Huntington Station, NY), a recent ODAC Player of the Week selection, has scored 11 goals. Four of Bosco’s goals have been game-winners.
Dupuy grew up playing soccer in Lynchburg, and was a multisport star at E.C. Glass HS. She has been the leading scorer the last two years, scoring 27 goals as a freshman and as a sophomore. She was the ODAC Rookie of the Year in 2011.
