Second Time In 690 Games
When the Virginia Cavaliers beat the University of North Carolina Tar Heels 2-0 on October 20, it marked only the second time in 690 games that Carolina has lost by more than one goal. The last multi-goal loss came in 2010, 4-1 against Notre Dame. You have to go all the way back to 1986 and the 2-0 loss to George Mason in the NCAA championship game to find the next UNC loss by more than a single goal.[show_to]
