D.C. United selected six players from the Richmond Kickers’, their USL PRO affiliate, to join the 15-player roster in Indonesia for a December 3-9 trip to Indonesia[show_disconnected][show_to accesslevel=’Subscriber’].
While it is officially a D.C. United trip, the product on the field will certainly have a Richmond Kickers’ look to it.
The team dropped the first game on the trip 2-1 to Persib Bandung (Indonesia Super League), Dec. 8 Arema FC (Indonesia Super League.
Included will be Richmond midfielders Luke Vercollone, Michael Callahan and Shay Spitz and defenders Henry Kalungi, Alex Lee and Shane Johnson.
D.C. United’s Andrew Dykstra, who played for the Kickers this past season on loan and earned USL PRO Goalkeeper of the Year honors, is also a member of the tour roster.
Other D.C. United players making the trip who saw action this past season with the Richmond Kickers are Homegrown players Michael Seaton and Conor Shanosky, along with Collin Martin, Taylor Kemp and Casey Townsend.
