Major League Soccer has announced that the opponent at the 2014 MLS All-Star Game in Portland, Ore, will be German Bundesliga giant Bayern Munich[show_disconnected][show_to accesslevel=’Subscriber’].
The game, set for August 6, marks the 11th time in the event’s 19-year history that an international club will take on the All-Stars. However, Bayern is the first German club to play in the MLS All-Star Game.
Bayern Munich, UEFA Champions League title holders, is currently unbeaten in the Bundesliga and in first place with 41 points.
Past opposing clubs include Guadalajara, Fulham, Chelsea (2), Celtic, West Ham United, Everton, Man United (2) and Roma.
