The two-week camp was the longest training period Sermanni has had with the squad since taking over the team last January[show_disconnected][show_to accesslevel=’Subscriber’].
Aside from a few players still recovering from injuries and Megan Rapinoe not released by her French club Lyon, all the U.S. regulars were in the camp, and they were joined by two 2012 Olympic gold medalists who haven’t yet been a part of the team this year. New mom Amy Rodriguez, who had a son in early August, makes her return to WNT training, as did defender Amy LePeilbet, who is in the final stages of her recovery from ACL surgery.
Three players were called in from Bayern Munich in Germany – midfielders Amber Brooks and Erika Tymrak and uncapped forward Sarah Hagen.
