Vestavia Hills Soccer Club captured four fall Alabama Youth Division I Powerade State Cup championship, two each for boys and girls teams[show_disconnected][show_to accesslevel=’Subscriber’].
Vestavia Steamers 99 Black won the U15 boys title over USC 99 Boys Premier, and Vestavia Steamers 98 Black finished ahead of Homewood Freedom 98 in the U16 division.
The other two boys championships decided in the fall came in the U17 age group where Huntsville FC Boys 97 Blue beat Ambassadors Gold 97 and in U18 with USC 96 Boys Premier topping the Vestavia Steamers 96 Black.
The Vestavia Attack 99 Black and Vestavia Attack 97 Black captured state titles in the U15 and U17 girls divisions, respectively. USC 99 Girls Premier and BUSA 97 Elite were the runnersup in those age groups.
In the U16 girls final Lady Phantoms 98 won the title with Auburn Thunder 98 finishing second and the Huntsville FC Girls 96 Blue won the U18 championship over Legend 96 Elite.
These eight state champions will advance to the US Youth Soccer Region III championships next June in Baton Rouge, La.
