The NCAA has awarded the Division I Women’s Soccer College Cup to Orlando for 2016 and 2017. The championships will be co-hosted by the University of Central Florida and the Central Florida Sports Commission, and will be held at the new Orlando City Soccer Stadium.
The championships return to Orlando for the first time since the early 1980s. UCF hosted the inaugural NCAA women’s soccer final in 1982 when the Knights finished runnerup to the UNC Tar Heels.
UCF again hosted the finals in 1983, but it has not been held in the state of Florida since.
