Executive Director Job Description – February 12, 2016
The Inter Atlanta FC (IAFC) Executive Director (ED) is the senior staff member of the organization and tasked with providing leadership to the club. The ED is responsible for implementing the long-term strategic goals of the club, staff management and oversight of the day to day operations of the organization. The ED reports directly to the Board of Directors (Board).
Executive Director Responsibilities
1. Implement the long-term strategic goals of IAF
a. Oversee the implementation of all soccer activities at the club spanning across the Recreational, Academy, and Select programs.
b. Continue to grow the number of players at IAFC.
c. Secure and maintain top-level facilities.
d. Provide an exceptional experience for players and families.
e. Maintain a strong relationship with Georgia Soccer.
f. Maintain the integrity of the IAFC brand both on and off the field.
g. Manage External Relationships: (Atlanta Public Schools, City of Atlanta Parks and Rec, Georgia State Soccer Association, Dekalb County, Sponsors, Outeach organizations, other local soccer clubs)
2. Staff Management
a. Provide management oversight and support to all staff members: current staff includes Director of Programs, Director of Academy, Director of Rec, Programs Administrator, Technical Director, Registrar, Bookkeeper, Referee Assignor, Field Scheduler, 32 coaching staff.
b. Set staff expectations and goals each season.
c. Conduct semi-annual and annual reviews of all staff members.
d. Enforce all club policies.
e. Provide opportunities for staff development and education.
f. Have a regular presence on the field during practices and games.
3. Senior Administrator
a. Manage the business of the club, including all financials and administrative processes.
b. Accounting and budgeting: oversee all activities and provide monthly financial reports the to Board
c. Fields: manage and maintain quality fields
d. Registration: oversee all aspects of player tryout and registration
e. Communications: oversee all club communication activities
4. Fundraising
a. Propose yearly and seasonal fundraising goals
b. Establish creative objectives to reach approved fundraising goals
c. Assist with in-house fundraising events and projects including annual fund, dine outs, sponsorships, capital campaign and SoccerBall
5. Attend IAFC Board meetings and committee meetings
a. Monthly Board Meetings (all)
b. Committee Meetings (as needed basis)
c. GYSA (all)

Financial ability and budget management experience.
Experience managing community and partner relationships.
About Inter Atlanta FC
IAFC provides recreational and competitive programs for boys and girls near downtown Atlanta. The Recreation league fields teams from three years (U-4) through nineteen years (U-19). The Academy program offers enhanced training for U8 through U-12 players. The Select program (known as Athena for girls and Classic for boys) fields teams from U-13 through U-19. IAFC is a member of the Georgia State Soccer Association.
