Both the U.S. and Mexico have qualified for all 12 Gold Cup tournaments. Mexico has won six times, and the U.S. four.
The U.S., drawn into Group C, will open against Belize on July 9 in Portland, Ore. The Americans will then play Cuba on July 13 in Sandy, Utah, and close out group play on July 16 in East Hartford, CT, against Costa Rica.
The top two teams in the three groups, along with the next best third-place teams, will advance to the quarterfinals, which will be played in Atlanta and Baltimore. The game in Atlanta will be played inside the Georgia Dome.
The U.S., coming out of Group C, would play its quarterfinal match in Baltimore at M&T Stadium on July 21.
Quarterfinal winners will advance to Cowboys Stadium in Texas for the July 24 semifinals.
Twelve different U.S. cities will host Gold Cup games. Miami will have a Group B doubleheader that includes Honduras, El Salvador, Haiti, and Trinidad & Tobago.
The way the draw is set up, the U.S. can not play Mexico until the final.
All of the Gold Cup matches will be televised by Fox Sports. Most will be seen on Fox Soccer. The games will also be televised in Spanish on Univision.
